Right: After leaving her berth on the west side of Port Everglades harbor, Constellation proceeds across the middle section of the harbor.
Below: Constellation exits the harbor passing the high rises that guard the entrance to the harbor.
Constellation seems to be heading directly out to sea (left).
However, she turns toward the north in order to create a lee while the harbor pilot gets into the waiting pilot boat (below).
But Constellation is not going north. Her ports of call on this cruise lie to the south. So she turns nearly 180 degrees and heads southward angling slightly to the east so that she heads further out to sea.
