Celebrity Eclipse provides guests with an array of activities and entertainment. Indeed, there is more to do than one could possibly do during a single cruise. Furthermore, the activities and entertainment reflect the sophistication of the typical Celebrity guest. At the same time, the activities and entertainment are relaxed, not stuffy or demanding.
As with most cruise ships, the main entertainment venue is the theater. The production shows range from edgy spectaculars with dramatic costumes, aerialists and acrobats to more traditional revues with singers and dancers performing to West End and Broadway favorites. Visiting entertainers include musicians, comedians and magicians. As one would expect on a ship that is based in Southampton most of the year, the visiting entertainers are geared to U.K. audiences.
Not all of the action takes place in the theater. Celebrity Central is a more intimate hall that is used for lectures, films, game shows and late night comedy. The Grand Foyer has also emerged as an entertainment venue, offering dancing and a place for theme parties. Musicians and entertainers perform in the lounges. On top of the ship by the Lawn, artisans from the Corning Museum of Glass make unique glass pieces before an often awed audience.
