It had been a beautiful day in St. Kitts with plenty of sunshine and the passing tropical shower to keep down the heat. After collecting her passengers, Ventura cast off her lines and backed away from the pier.

Ventura backed until she was clear of the pier and immediately behind sister ship Emerald Princess (see separate photo essay).
|
She then began a turn that took her around more than 180 degrees.
|
|
|
|
|
|
After the pilot alighted into the small boat, Ventura sailed off into the twilight.
