Each Saturday during her inaugural season, Norwegian Getaway sails from her homeport of Miami on a seven day cruise to three of the world's most popular ports - - two in the Eastern Caribbean, the other in the Bahamas.
Norwegian Getaway was built with Miami in mind and seems in harmony with her surroundings as she sits at the terminal on Dodge Island. At approximately four in the afternoon, she casts off, heads down to the turning basin where she does a 180 degree turn. She then passes the line of cruise ships waiting to set sail and heads out to sea through Government Cut. (See video). |
Following two sea days, Getaway arrives in St. Maarten. Here, she is seen with Independence of the Seas.

The next day, Getaway is in St. Thomas U.S.V.I. at the Havensight berths across the bay from downtown Charlotte Amalie.
Another sea day and Getaway is in Nassau in the Bahamas. Among the ships in port with her on this the last day of the cruise are Disney Dream and Carnival Victory.
